Speak Out!
Note: Protecting Innocence Project is still under construction. This sample page is just a holding place until the site is ready to publish.
This website is a collection of resources that you can use to complain and demand change when children’s innocence is threatened by publicly available images and media. Use the tools found on the sidebar menus to write letters, make phone calls, or submit complaint forms to a wide variety of businesses and networks. Feel free to contact us at PIP.voices@gmail.com with any questions.
“Innocence is like polished armor; it adorns and defends.”*
We live in a world where our children are constantly bombarded by inappropriate images and language. It has become commonplace to find demeaning violent, sexual, and even pornographic content on television, on the Internet, in advertisements and on magazine covers. They are targeted at and accessible to children and adults alike. Such materials are destructive to children’s innocence. Research has shown that this kind of media influences children’s thought patterns, self-image, and views on sexuality, among many other things that are an essential part of a child’s overall mental, emotional, and especially spiritual health. Protecting Innocence Project (PIP) has the objective of uniting moms’ voices to speak out against this assault. If left unchallenged, this destructive trend will become worse. Please join us at PIP by adding your voice to declare to the perpetrators of such media that it is unacceptable. When we speak together, we can speak loudly.
